TIPLINE: School

The Independence Public Library's Interesting Nuggets of Exploration: School

Schools are back in session for the 2015-2016 school year, and that means homework is on its way too. But don't panic, the IPL can help with that.
We, of course, have books (lots of books) on all kinds of subjects. Anything from teachers to turtles and more. Just tell our online catalog what you're looking for. Be sure to scroll down to see what's available on BRIDGES!
You can also search on the BRIDGES site, then use your library card number and phone number to log in. Need to dig a little deeper?
Give EBSCOhost a try. You can get the User ID and Password at the library. EBSCOhost has a searchable database of more magazines, newspapers, and trade journals than we could ever fit in the library. And if you create your own account in EBSCOhost, you can save your searches and articles for each project.
Still looking for more?
How about Learning Express! This online resource has tutorials and lessons for all ages. There's homework help, computer skills, and even job search and career building tools. Create your own account on the site, and you can save you progress when ever you're there.
What about those class projects? The library has three new Arts & Craft Kits that are perfect for creative fun, but if you need some tools to finish that poster for class, you can find plenty to use in one of our kits. Each one comes with colored pencils, glue sticks, scissors, pencils, a ruler, an eraser, and other goodies to decorate with.
